The Newfoundland Growlers drop consecutive contests on the road as they lost 3-2 against the Adirondack Thunder on Friday night at Cool Insuring Arena.

Orrin Centazzo opened the scoring for Newfoundland 50 seconds before the first intermission as he finished off some slick passing from the Growlers powerplay to make it 1-0 for the visitors.

Xavier Parent got the Thunder back to all square just 25 seconds later as he beat Dryden McKay from the slot to tie things at 1-1 after the 1st.

Nick Rivera gave Adirondack the lead in the opening minute of the middle frame as he fooled McKay with a nifty backhand to put the Thunder ahead 2-1.

Pavel Gogolev notched an equalizer for Newfoundland two minutes before the second intermission with a shorthanded breakaway to make it 2-2 going into the 3rd.

Jarrod Gourley broke the deadlock once again for the Thunder with 6:57 left in regulation as his seeing eye shot found its way through everyone to make it a 3-2 Adirondack final.
