The Newfoundland Growlers bounced back from their midweek defeat to take down the Florida Everblades 3-0 on Friday night at Hertz Arena.

Isaac Johnson opened the scoring on a breakaway for Newfoundland with 5:34 left in the first period before Taylor Egan scored exactly one minute later to give the Growlers a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Dryden McKay remained perfect through 40 minutes as Newfoundland stayed up 2-0 after the 2nd despite being outshot 22-10 through two periods of play.

Johnson sealed it with a late empty netter while McKay made 37 saves for his first professional shutout to secure a 3-0 Newfoundland win.
