Petruzzelli, Centazzo, Badini & Johnson Assigned To Growlers

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that goaltender Keith Petruzzelli and forwards Orrin Centazzo and Jack Badini have been assigned to the club by the Toronto Marlies (AHL), while Isaac Johnson has also been sent to the club via the Manitoba Moose (AHL).

Petruzzelli, a 24-year-old Wilbraham, Massachusetts native, has made four appearances for the Growlers this season and boasts a 3-1-0-0 record. In 20 appearances for the Marlies, Petruzzelli is 12-7-0-0 with a .906 SV% and a 2.89 GAA.

With Petruzzelli added to Newfoundland's active roster, Luke Cavallin has subsequently been called up to Toronto.

Centazzo, a 22-year-old Marwayne, Alberta native, has played 35 regular season contests with the Growlers this season and scored 21 goals and added 23 assists for 44 points. During his time with the Marlies, he also featured in nine games at the AHL level picking up one assist.

Badini, a 25-year-old Old Greenwich, Connecticut native, has featured in 28 games for Newfoundland this season, notching 12 points (6G, 6A) along the way. During his recent callup with Toronto, he appeared in two games.

Johnson, a 24-year-old Andover, Minnesota native, has collected 31 points (14G, 17A) in just 23 appearances for the Growlers in 2022-23. At the AHL level, Johnson has 1G, 1A in 11 games played for Manitoba.

All three Growlers forwards are expected to be added to the active roster and made available in the upcoming series vs. Adirondack.
