JACK BADINI ASSIGNED TO GROWLERS

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that forward Jack Badini has been assigned to the club by the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Badini, a 24-year-old forward from Old Greenwich, Connecticut, is a former 3rd round NHL draft pick, 91st overall to the Anaheim Ducks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

He spent the last two seasons largely with the AHL affiliate of Anaheim, the San Diego Gulls, while also playing 14 ECHL games for the Tulsa Oilers back in 2020-21. Across two campaigns, Badini picked up eight points (2G, 6A) in 69 appearances for the Gulls.

Prior to turning pro, Badini played three years of college hockey with Harvard University between 2017 and 2020 and was also teammates with former Growler Marc Johnstone in 2016-17 with the USHL’s Chicago Steel.

Newfoundland head out on the road for their second trip of the season as they take on the Adirondack Thunder on Wednesday and Friday night before stopping in Portland to visit the Maine Mariners on Saturday evening. Catch all the action live on FloHockey and at www.nlgrowlers.com/radio.
