Luke Cavallin Assigned To Growlers

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that goaltender Luke Cavallin has been assigned to the club by the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Cavallin, 21, did not appear in game action for the Marlies during his recent recall. In eight games played with the Growlers this season, Cavallin boasts a 7-1-0-0 record with 1.74 goals against average and a .941 save percentage.  

The Greely, Ontario native was the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending November 20. He also recently picked up his first professional shutout back on November 16 against the Maine Mariners in a 5-0 win.  

Newfoundland return home for a three-game set with the Worcester Railers beginning on Friday night at Mary Brown’s Centre. Tickets are available now at nlgrowlers.com/tickets.
