MARLIES REASSIGN KAPCHECK, PIETRONIRO AND MCKENNA

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that the Toronto Marlies have reassigned Brennan Kapcheck, Matteo Pietroniro and Jeremy McKenna to the Newfoundland Growlers and the club has signed C.J. Hayes to a Standard Player Contract (SPC).

Kapcheck appeared in 2 games for the Marlies this season, recording 1 assist. He registered 1 goal and 9 assists in 12 games with the Growlers prior to being recalled to Toronto.

Pietroniro appeared in 2 games for the Marlies this season. He registered 2 goals and 9 assists in 15 games with the Growlers prior to being recalled to Toronto.

McKenna appeared in 12 games for the Marlies this season, recording 1 assist. He registered 1 goal and 1 assist in 2 games with the Growlers prior to being recalled to Toronto.

Hayes, 26, played in 22 games this season with the Birmingham Bulls of the SPHL where he has totaled 6 goals and 6 assists. C.J. appeared in 71 SPHL games over 4 seasons where he recorded 13 goals and 12 assists.The Growlers are scheduled to take on the Adirondack Thunder tonight in Glens Falls, New York following the postponement of two games in Trois-Rivières. Puck drop in Glens Falls is slated for 6:30 p.m. NT and fans can tune in via the Growlers Radio Network at nlgrowlers.com/radio or stream the game on Flosports via flohockey.tv.
