The Newfoundland Growlers remain unbeaten on the road through six games away from home as they get set to face the Adirondack Thunder on Wednesday night at Cool Insuring Arena.
Newfoundland kept their perfect away record intact on Saturday night with a 2-1 overtime victory over the Reading Royals. Jeremy McKenna scored his first goal as a Growler to win it after regulation time solved nothing between the top two teams in the North Division.
Adirondack are also coming off a 2-1 Saturday night road win as Jake Hamilton and Tyler Irvine provided the offence to help the Thunder top the Idaho Steelheads.
Wednesday marks the fifth meeting between the two teams already this season with the Growlers taking three of their opening four matchups to date — the most recent result a commanding 5-0 Newfoundland win at C.B.S. Arena back on November 7.

WHO TO WATCH:Â
NFL — Gordie Green (F): Three points in this past weekend’s doubleheader with the Royals brings Green to 10 points in 11 games with the Growlers, good for second on the team in that department. As Newfoundland continue to spread the wealth offensively, the 24-year-old winger has emerged as a regular name on the scoresheet in his second pro season.
ADK — Tyler Irvine (F): Fresh off scoring the game-winner against the Steelheads and currently leading the Thunder in goals scored to start the season with six, Irvine will be relied on to try and solve a stingy Growlers defensive core.
