GROWLERS ANNOUNCE PRESEASON SCHEDULE

ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the AHL’s Toronto Marlies and NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs, are pleased to announce details for the club’s two preseason games ahead of the upcoming 2019-20 ECHL season.

On Friday, October 4, the Growlers will head to Brampton, Ontario to make their preseason debut against their lone Canadian rival, the Brampton Beast. The game will take place at the Cassie Campbell Community Centre at 1050 Sandalwood Parkway West in Brampton. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST (8:30PM NT).

The Growlers will conclude their short preseason schedule on Saturday, October 5 in Brampton against the Beast at a to-be-determined location. Details of the location will be made public as the information becomes available.

Both preseason games will be broadcasted live from Brampton by Growlers play-by-play broadcaster Chris Ballard. Fans can listen live on Mixlr by downloading the Mixlr App or visiting mixlr.com/nlgrowlers.

Newfoundland and Brampton began a fierce rivalry in 2018-19 as the only two Canadian teams in the ECHL. These two clubs squared off 22 times a season ago, including three preseason matches in Newfoundland, 13 regular-season contests and another six matchups in the postseason.
